Batgirl will no longer be released in 2023. Warner Bros announced the decision after realizing that the film will not meet the expectations of the fans.
Warner Bros cancels Batgirl
Thus far, Warner Bros initially decided that Batgirl will be released on the streaming platform HBO. However, the producers of Ms. Marvel decided against it as they predicted it would not cover the budget for the film.
“The decision to not release Batgirl reflects our leadership’s strategic shift as it relates to the DC universe and HBO Max. Leslie Grace is an incredibly talented actor and this decision is not a reflection of her performance.”
Right now, Batgirl is reported to have a budget of $90 million. However, Variety reports that production has gone over this limit to $100 million as a result of filming during the pandemic.
The film reportedly exceeded the budget
Presently, fans are not too impressed with the decision as Batgirl will not be available in cinema as well as on HBO. Right now, social media users have been expressing their frustration as The Flash will be released with Ezra Miller.
Their frustration comes as the actor has been in the headlines for assaulting individuals while overseas. The actor has even been arrested abroad for this.

So far ABC News shares that Brendan Fraser, Michael Keaton, and Leslie Grace were set to star in the new film. The actors and actress are yet to address the cancelation of the film which took nearly three years to shoot.
To date, Batgirl is not the only film that has been canned by Warner Bros. So far, an entire Scooby-Doo animated series has been canceled.
Here’s what the fans had to say.
