Aspiring author fakes her own death
Recently, Susan Meachen returned to social media after he daughter allegedly shared that her mother passed away. In previous posts, the author alleged that she attempted suicide before and was seemingly attempting to do it again.
Now, in September 2020, Susan Meachen took to Facebook to rant about the low book sales. As well as the challenges she faced within the literary industry. In the post, the aspiring author noted she previously attempted suicide and would be publishing her last book on October 30th.
Weeks later, a woman who claimed to be the daughter of Susan Meachen, alleged that her mother had “passed away”. Following this, the individual reportedly kept the account going to promote her mother’s books.
In one post, the individual claimed that the books of Susan Meachen will be unpublished if the sales of the books does not go up.
Susan Meachen returns to social media
Following her orchestrated death, two fundraising accounts in aid of suicide prevention were set up for Susan Meachen. However, Business Insider notes that these accounts did not make any money since.
On Wednesday, a Facebook group dubbed The Ward created by Meachen shared a new revelation about the author’s life. Twitter investigator DraggerofLiars uncovered the fact that Susan Meachen was alive and well. Citing that the author revealed her family “did what they thought was best” for her by faking her death.
After being exposed, Susan Meachen decided to come clean and noted that she thought about coming clean “a million times” but wasn’t sure if it was right to do it.
In the group she wrote, “I debated on how to do this a million times and still not sure if it’s right or not,” Meachen wrote in a Facebook post. “I almost died again at my own hand and they had to go through all that hell again.” She told members of the group that she was “in a good place now and I am hoping to write again,”
Meachen then concluded her statement with “Let the fun begin”.
This recent revelation left a bitter taste in the mouths of some social media users, who found the stunt very distasteful.
@RelativelyMe wrote, “Today is the fourth anniversary of my brother’s suicide, “I’d give everything I have for him to magically appear again…This is repugnant.”
Susan hasn’t responded for comment on the matter since.
