Bob Saget, known as “Danny Tanner” in the hit 80s and 90s TV show, Full House, has been found dead in a Florida hotel room. The beloved 65-year-old star was often referred to as “America’s dad” and tributes have been pouring in.
No cause of death established yet
The comedian had been touring the US as part of his stand-up shows and still posted an update on his tour the night before his body was found.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s office, no signs of “foul play or drugs” were found by detectives. The police were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes when Saget was found “unresponsive”.

Tributes for the late Bob Saget continues to pour in
After a statement from Saget’s family was released, tributes and condolences have been pouring in.
The statement, published by People magazine, read: “We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today.
“He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter.”
John Stamos, who played “Uncle Jesse” on Full House with Saget, remained long-term friends with the actor and shared how much he will miss his friend.
“I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby.”
“Deeply saddened to learn of the untimely passing of comedian Bob Saget. Beloved by millions as America’s Dad, he was a regular presence in our living rooms, bringing to us the funniest videos and countless belly laughs. Gone too soon, like so many of the brightest souls,” wrote Star Trek actor George Takei.
