Monique Muller isn’t about to go down without a fight. After setting the record straight regarding the court’s ruling, she is hitting back at online trolls.
Cyberbullying at its best
As the news broke of the court ruling in Katlego Maboe’s favour, Muller’s Instagram blew up as the public shared how they really felt about her.
Throughout the court case drama, Muller has experienced many negative comments and cyberbullying, however, in light of the recent ruling, it seems things have escalated to their worst.
Muller posted a quote on her Instagram stories stating “If you don’t like me and still watch everything I do, You’re a fan”. This then set off a rampage of negative DMs coming through.
Muller was initially surprised by the number of negative comments she received.
“The way some people are offended by my previous post. You know if some of you put this kind of energy into serious injustices happening in our country then we might just be living in a better country.
“But here you are passionately bullying,” she wrote.
Monique Muller called South Africa out for being the rape and murder capital of the world
Muller proceeded to share the messages that she was receiving. Many were hurtful, with supporters of Maboe calling her out as attention-seeking and a gold-digger.
When Muller finally had enough of the hateful cyberbullying, she voiced her opinion on how this demonstrates why SA is the rape and murder capital of the world.
She added that people cared more about social media and what’s trending than serious issues such as gender-based violence.
