Abdul Khoza has been part of The Wife cast for the entire three seasons of the series. However, the actor has made an emotional exit from the series in its latest episode.
The Wife finishes off another character
Alas, all good things must come to an end as The Wife wraps up its third and last season this year. In the recent episode of the series, fans, unfortunately, had to say goodbye to Nqoba. A character that has since become a household name.
In episode four, Nqoba is found dead in a room alone. In what seemed to be a revenge attack on the Zulu brothers. Of course, his exit was met with much sadness. As viewers have become accustomed to Abdul Khoza being a part of the series.
To date, his brother Bonko Khoza has also made his exit from The Wife as he aims to focus on other endeavors. In the meantime, The Wife cast members fondly remember Abdul Khoza as a part of their team over the past few seasons.
Actress Sikhonda Sodlaka shared, “What an incredible opportunity it is to work with such a talented man … I think our chemistry worked because of how dynamic yet similar our characters are. The one is a female version of the other and vice versa. He is the scene partner I didn’t know I needed. We got to play so much on set.”

Upon his exit, Abdul Khoza also shared a few words about his time on The Wife and a little bit about the culture among the cast members.
“I come from a background of working a lot with a team and with unity. So, even with the brothers, one thing that stands out the most on our show is the brotherhood we have and I’m one of the people that literally encouraged that from day one. I insisted we start a WhatsApp group, that we start hanging out together as brothers, and get to know each other deeper, thoroughly and truthfully so,”
Thus far, Bonko Khoza has also stepped away from his role after the end of season two. At the time, Wiseman Mncube shared his thoughts on taking over the role of Mqele and noted that he was not on the show to replace him but to continue the character in the best way he can.
