Eating salads is a super-convenient way to work in a couple of servings of vegetables and/or fruit. In any season this broccoli salad is a good source of much needed nutrition, and with so many vitamins and minerals, this broccoli salad is no exception.
This salad also consists of bacon bits for some indulgence, raisins for some sweetness, red onions, celery, and crunchy sunflower seeds. A simple salad dressing tops this salad, made from Miracle Whip or mayonnaise of your choice, 2 teaspoons of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vinegar.
Broccoli Salad packed with Nutrition:
Broccoli raw are very low in Saturated Fat and Cholesterol. It is also a good source of Protein, Vitamin E (Alpha Tocopherol), Thiamin, Riboflavin, Pantothenic Acid, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus and Selenium, and a very good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Vitamin B6, Folate, Potassium and Manganese
Pumpkin Seeds raw are very low in Cholesterol and Sodium. It is also a good source of Protein, Magnesium and Zinc.

The Broccoli Salad
Ingredients
For the Salad:
- 1 head fresh broccoli cut up
- ½ cup red onions finely chopped
- 450 g bacon cooked crumbled (more or less a half a cup)
- 1 cup raisins
- ½ cup celery diced
- ½ cup sunflower seeds
For the Dressing:
- 1 cup Miracle Whip salad dressing
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp vinegar
Instructions
- Cook the bacon in a pan for 10 minutes over medium heat.
- In a large serving bowl, combine broccoli and other salad ingredients.
- Mix dressing ingredients together, pour over salad ingredients and toss gently.
