Taking to Twitter, singer and actress Cher shared with her followers that her mother had died. In a short tweet, the singer wrote, “mom is gone”.
In September this year, Cher shared that she wasn’t around as much because her mother had some health issues. The singer shared that Georgia Holt had previously been hospitalized for pneumonia.
“Sorry I’ve been Mia. Mom’s Been Sick Off & On. She Just Got Out Of Hosp. She Had Pneumonia. She’s Getting Better,”
The singer and actress did not reveal the cause of her mother’s death. However, more details are expected to be shared in the days to come. Cher did not share when Georgia Holt died either.

Throughout her career, Georgia Holt has accomplished a great list of achievements. That includes a good list of film credits such as Watch the Birdie, I Love Lucy, Grounds for Marriage, and A Little Of Her Own.
In the 1980s, Georgia Holt recorded her country album titled Honky Tonk Woma and officially released it in 2013. The singer featured a duet with her daughter called I’m Just Your Yesterday.
Georgia Holt was also the subject of the 2013 Lifetime documentary called Dear Mom, Love Cher. The actress has been married at least six times during her lifetime. She eventually settled down with her partner Craig Spencer till her passing. The couple has been together since 1976.
Over the past few months, Cher has been making headlines for her relationship with the music executive and producer Alexander Edwards. Fans most notably saw the great age gap which spans at least 40 years. However, Cher couldn’t care less about their age gap.
