While interviewing the singer, the presenter got to sing one of the popular songs sung by the British singer. Posting to Instagram on Thursday, Katlego Maboe shared just why meeting Craig David was a special moment for him.
“When I was a teenager, my grandparents bought me an alarm-radio that led me to this song by @craigdavid and @theofficialsting – it was a defining moment of my youth. Yesterday that teenage boy met his hero…”
After sharing his version of the track, Craig complimented Katlego Maboe on his vocal skills. Noting that he has a cool tone. A flattered Maboe then motioned to make prayer hands to express his gratitude at the compliment. The singer who rose to fame in 1999 is best known for his hits such as Fill Me In and 7 Days.
This week, Craig David performed at the Grand West Arena in Cape Town where he performed plenty of his previous hits and a culmination of the popular house hits of today.
What impressed fans the most was the fact that David performed by himself at the recent concert he called TS5. The British singer and songwriter showed off his talents by taking on the role of DJ, MC, and singer.
According to The Citizen, the significance of the tour in Cape Town comes after Craig David bought his first apartment at the Miami Hotel called Tower Suite 5 which saw the singer hosting some of the most memorable parties in that location. He, therefore, dubbed the tour TS5 as a nod to this experience.
