Model Lerato Moloi opens up about her sexual assault
In 2020, Lerato Moloi found the courage to talk about a sexual assault that she alleges Tol Ass Mo inflicted on her. The model shared a series of tweets in 2020 accusing the comedian of raping her in 2014.
One of her tweets read, “In 2014, I was sexually assaulted and raped by Mongezi ‘Tol Ass Mo’ Mahlangu while working on a television production in Paarl, Western Cape.”
She continued, “For numerous reasons, I did not open a case at the time and only shared this experience with one of the other participants on the show”,
Back then, the model noted that the comedian’s lawyers had come into contact with her. She shared that they probed her to delete the tweets. However, Lerato Moloi shared that she “will not be silenced”. After she found the courage to talk about her alleged horrific incident.
She further shared that a protection order was made against her. As well as an interim order demanding that she delete her tweets immediately.
Toll Ass Mo hits back at model about allegations
Following this, Lerato Moloi expressed that she had been imprisoned for short while for this reason. However, the model has still remained to stand by her allegations against Tol Ass Mo.
In a recent interview with MacG, Toll Ass Mo shared what he had been going through when the allegations surfaced. The comedian also had an interview with Pearl Thusi. Which was scheduled for release on BET. But this was later pulled after harsh criticism against the comedian.
During his discussion with MacG, Toll Ass Mo revealed that he attempted suicide after the allegations came to light. In the midst of it all, his wife Mome Mlhangu stood beside him and shamed the “I believe her activists” who helped tarnish her husband’s name.
The comedian also revealed that he had lost a lot of gigs due to the allegations made against him in 2020 which subsequently left his career staggering.
