Drake previously went viral for his dance album which wasn’t exactly well received but the rapper had more up his sleeve for the year 2022.
Drake reveals new details about his albums
Right now, 2022 is proving to be a big year for Drake. As the rapper previously became the first artist to collaborate with FC Barcelona. His collaboration with FC Barcelona came after the rapper reached a milestone with Spotify as the first artist to achieve 50 billion streams on the platform.
The collaboration with Drake also came as a way for fans of the rapper to feel more connected to sports through his music. At the time, FC Barcelona embarked on handing out free t-shirts with Drake’s name on it.
The rapper was one of the first to unwrap the box with the very first t-shirt. Drake took to his Instagram to promote the new collaboration.
He wrote, “To celebrate the first artist to reach 50 billion streams on @Spotify @FC Barcelona will wear the OVO owl logo at El Classico on Sunday. This doesn’t feel real but it is.”
Now, Drake recently achieved another milestone after his single Rich Flex went platinum this week. While this is exciting news, the rapper revealed his three recent albums are actually a trilogy.
“We got CLB, Certified Lover Boy, that was like the, you know, ‘I’m trying my best to make her love [me], I’m chasing you. And then Honestly, Nevermind is the realization that maybe that lifestyle is not for me. Then Her Loss is like ‘No Pigeons,”
Despite his success with Her Loss, Drake landed in trouble with Vogue after promoting fake magazines with Vogue as the publisher. The rapper and his collaborator 21 Savage shared a fake cover of a magazine claiming Vogue interviewed the pair about their album.
However, Drake was very soon met with a million-dollar lawsuit from Vogue which was not impressed with the artist’s approach to promoting their album.
