Wakanda Forever was previously shared to be a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman and by the reviews so far, the film did just that.
Wakanda Forever honors Chadwick Boseman
Right now, the wait for Wakanda Forever has come to an end. And it is proving to be worth the wait after the hype the trailer has given to the fans.
To date, the first Black Panther film was released back in 2018. After a four-year wait, Wakanda Forever is finally here. But don’t worry, there aren’t any spoilers here. As I will leave it to you to decide how the film makes you feel and what you think of it.
Since the passing of Chadwick Boseman in 2020, the producer of the film, Ryan Coogler made an active attempt to include Chadwick Boseman in the film. As he played a pivotal role in the previous film installment, which is the hero and protector.
In Wakanda Forever, there is notably a new Black Panther. Who now has to take over the role of protecting the people of Wakanda. There has been much speculation about who will be playing the Black Panther. But I think the answer to that question is obvious.
What to expect
In order to make Wakanda Forever feel special and in memory of Chadwick Boseman, the cast of the film shared that they visited the late actor’s gravesite.
Actress Lupita Nyongo shared of the experience filming that she was glad she “didn’t have to hide [her] grief” and that she could put it “to good use” on the set of the film.
Presently, it is of the understanding that much of the film includes little snippets of acknowledging Chadwick Boseman as the Black Panther and the mourning of the late character is expected to be felt.
Among other things, Rihanna has also released her second single Born Again for the film. The singer previously released her first single in six years, Lift Me Up a week ago.
See the first reactions to the film below.
