Dababy was previously set to perform in New Orleans this coming Friday. However, things didn’t go as planned when the ticket sales did not reach the target.
Rapper Dababy fails to sell tickets
Right now, it is reported that as few as 500 tickets only managed to be sold. After pre-sale tickets to the concert with Dababy didn’t get sold. Promoters for the concert decided to pull out of the event.
Presently, fans who previously purchased tickets will receive their refund within 30 days depending on the promoter. To date, the concert has since been removed from Ticketmaster.
“Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event. No action is required to obtain a refund. It will be processed to the original method of payment used at the time of purchase, once funds are received from the Event Organizer, which is usually completed within 30 days. If the Event Organizer is offering a credit option, it will be visible within the Event Details of your order, which can be found in your Ticketmaster account. Please Note: If the tickets were transferred to you, the refund will go to the fan who originally purchased the tickets from Ticketmaster.”
According to XXL Mag, the tickets to the concert with Dababy were sold for only $35. However, ticket sales were still low for the concert in New Orleans.
Managers of the rapper allegedly breached the contract
As of late, the concert was set to feature rapper Nocap this coming Friday. While the concert with Dababy has been canceled for Friday, Dababy is set to headline other concerts in October this year.
In the meantime, Nola reports that Dababy will reschedule the concert, despite the website showing that the concert has been canceled.
The website further states that the concert was canceled due to a variety of reasons. This includes a breach of contract. It is alleged that the rappers managers did not fulfil the requirements of the contract.
