Senzo Meyiwa and Kelly Khumalo were trending at #3 and #4 on Twitter in SA before S3 of Life With Kelly Khumalo even launched this morning, and it’s the juiciest episode yet.
Beyond what’s in the PR below, the wildly quotable parts include from 04:11, where she talks about how: “This is not the only case that has been a failure when it comes to the South African justice system. But for some reason, because there’s Kelly Khumalo involved, we want to make it something peculiar, something that is different, something that has never happened before.”
And if you want to skip straight to the part that is going to get the most comments, it’s from 21:14 where she talks about Senzo’s family, starting with, “That family did not love Senzo… He was a cash cow…”
Let me know what else you need to feature this; the Living The Dream With Somizi finale tomorrow; or part 2 of The Real Housewives of Lagos reunion on Friday?

Season 3 of Life With Kelly Khumalo is now streaming, with new episodes on Showmax every Tuesday.
The singer called her gin brand Controversy, and Season 3 of the SAFTA-winning Showmax Original reality series is going to get Twitter buzzing, if the explosive first episode is anything to go by.
In just 25 minutes, we see Kelly give her ex, Jub Jub, the middle finger over his Mother’s Day message; bring Somizi to tears at her first gospel concert since lockdown; and complain to her bestie Wanda Baloyi about having “the sh*ttiest in-laws ever,” who she claims doubted the paternity of both her children and “went to the witchdoctor to get rid of me!”. And we haven’t even mentioned the part where Kelly is told to “Go f* yourself” by a man while waiting for the lift up to Alto 234 in Sandton, the highest urban bar in Africa.
We also see Kelly interviewed by 702 presenter Relebogile Mabotja about the rise in calls to cancel her alongside the release of a true-crime documentary series about the death of Senzo Meyiwa as his trial was about to start. “The noise is external; it has absolutely nothing to do with me,” says Kelly.
Despite the ongoing conspiracy theories, Kelly’s career has never been better: her SAMA-nominated album The Voice of Africa went gold, the AFRIMA-nominated Empini became the biggest hit of her career and went quadruple platinum, Esphambanweni went double platinum and Ngathwala Ngaye went platinum.
“It just tells you that if you connect with people spiritually, success is inevitable, because people can relate to what you’re singing about, and they listen to your music on a daily basis,” she says in a video message to fans posted on Showmax’s YouTube channel today. “Thank you. I appreciate your love and support and most importantly your prayers and your positive words when the going gets hard. You constantly remind me: ‘Never forget who you are, never forget how powerful you are, and never forget that you are loved, that you are supported.’ So hey man, I love you guys.”
Produced by G.O.A.T (Dineo’s Diary) and directed by Kuda Jemba, with Graeme Swanepoel as showrunner, Season 3 of Life With Kelly Khumalo will release new episodes every Tuesday, first and only on Showmax.
Showmax has established itself as the home of reality TV streaming in Africa. The reality series The Real Housewives of Durban, Temptation Island: South Africa and Uthando Lodumo were three of the 10 most watched titles on Showmax in 2021; Life With Kelly Khumalo’s only competition in the 2021 SAFTA’s Best Soap Structured Reality TV Show category came from the Showmax Originals Somizi & Mohale: The Union and Lebo M: Coming Home; and The Real Housewives of Lagos has topped the Twitter trends charts in both Nigeria and South Africa, where Living The Dream With Somizi S5 is currently the most watched title on Showmax.
Look out for the finale of Living The Dream With Somizi S5 this Wednesday, 6 July 2022 and the second part of The Real Housewives of Lagos Reunion this Friday, 8 July 2022, first on Showmax.
